Heavy rains have caused rivers to overflow in Ciudad Victoria, affecting several stretches of highway and resulting in complete traffic closures in some areas.
State Traffic officers, in coordination with Civil Protection, are stationed at critical points such as the bridge at kilometer three of the Inter-Ejidal Highway and the La Misión ejido area, to ensure driver safety and prevent accidents.
Authorities are maintaining constant surveillance in these areas and recommend that motorists avoid traveling on flooded streets and highways until the situation returns to normal.
Security personnel and emergency services continue to monitor the affected areas and work to coordinate alternate routes for drivers.
