On Wednesday, the Baja California Attorney General’s Office reported that around 7:00 p.m. local time (2:00 a.m. GMT on Thursday), an incident occurred at the anti-kidnapping unit’s facilities located in Playas de Tijuana.
“After conducting an inspection of the area, we found what could be traces of explosive devices, which in turn caused some material damage to the institution’s real estate, four private vehicles, and two official vehicles,” the agency stated.
However, no injuries or damage was reported.
Later, the head of the agency, María Elena Andrade Ramírez, condemned the attacks on the Prosecutor’s Office facilities and stated that “no attack will stop the investigative work or the commitment to justice.”
