The “Almas Vivas 2025” Festival and Compasuchil in San Cristóbal de Las Casas is entering its closing phase with an extensive cultural and artistic program that runs until November 2. The celebration, which began on October 17, still has various activities planned to experience the Day of the Dead traditions in the “Pueblo Mágico” (Magical Town).

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25: Art, Candles, and Competition
5:00 PM: Opening of art exhibitions (“Immersion” by Inés Ruiz and “The Universe, Mirror of Freedom” by Marco Antonio Martínez) in the Visual Arts Hall.
6:00 PM: Candle Lighting and Catrina Parade in front of the MUSAC (Museum of Art and Culture).
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26: Music and Catrinas
5:00 PM: Municipal marimba presentation.
6:00 PM: Grand Catrinas and Catrines Competition in Central Park.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29 AND THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30: Murals and Inaugurations
October 29 (1:00 PM): Mural inauguration at the Pantheon.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31: The Big Night
