The Agricultural and Peasant Movement (MAC) reported that the following highway sections could be blocked: Irapuato-León, Irapuato-Pénjamo, Irapuato-Salamanca, and León-Aguascalientes if their demands are not met by the authorities.

According to the group, caravans of farmers from across the state have been called to gather on November 24th at Irrigation District 011 in the municipality of Irapuato for a peaceful demonstration. However, they did not rule out the possibility that the protests could escalate and that the demonstrations could block these highways.

It is important to remember that the farmers have expressed their discontent with the proposed reform to the Water Law, which they say puts their assets and production at risk. They are also demanding guaranteed prices for basic products such as corn.
