Accompanied by council members, Mayor Fabiola Ricci Diestel officially presented the program for the Second Annual Magical Christmas Festival 2025, an initiative that seeks to strengthen family unity, promote culture, and preserve December traditions in the municipality. The festival will take place from December 17th to 21st.
During her address, the mayor emphasized that December is a month of reflection and togetherness, and that this festival is being held with the support of the City Council and the collaboration of various sectors of the community, with the goal of bringing joy to the families of San Cristóbal and creating spaces for community gatherings.
The program includes cultural, artistic, and recreational activities, among which the participation of the Orchestra and Choir for Peace, the traditional hot chocolate event, an ice skating rink, a Christmas parade and caravan, a light festival, folk dance performances, and musical concerts will be held at venues such as Plaza de La Paz and Parque de Los Héroes.
The mayor emphasized that the Magical Christmas Festival 2025 is the result of coordinated work by the various departments of the City Council, reaffirming the institutional commitment to promote culture, strengthen the social fabric, and provide citizens with events that foster peace, hope, and unity in San Cristóbal de Las Casas.
