Within the framework of the 2025 Annual Free Training Program for the Tourism Sector for Well-being, the Government of the State of Zacatecas, through the Ministry of Tourism, implemented a comprehensive training strategy to strengthen the sector’s capabilities and improve the quality of tourism services in the state.

The initiative is designed to provide practical tools and updated knowledge to both students and tourism service providers, with the aim of promoting comprehensive, sustainable, and competitive tourism development in Zacatecas.

As part of these efforts, 11 workshops from the “Tourism Culture for Well-being” program were offered to middle and high school students from the state’s seven Magical Towns, as well as from municipalities with a tourism focus. A total of 729 students gained a broader understanding of the importance of tourism as an engine of economic, social, and cultural development in their communities.

In addition, the Ministry of Tourism conducted 36 training courses for industry professionals, covering strategic topics such as tourism marketing, services for senior citizens, social media management, artificial intelligence applied to tourism, neuromarketing, English for tourism, and awareness training for tourist police officers.

These initiatives benefited 1,126 service providers, who now have updated tools and skills to meet the challenges of the current tourism environment and improve service for national and international visitors.

The program was strengthened through a strategic alliance with organizations such as the Hotel and Motel Association, CANIRAC (National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry), associations of guides and travel agencies, as well as the seven Magical Towns of Zacatecas. Furthermore, the participation of specialized instructors from the Autonomous University of Zacatecas ensured the academic quality of the course content.

With these actions, the State Government reaffirms its commitment to sustainable tourism development and the well-being of the community, consolidating Zacatecas as a competitive and attractive destination at the national and international level.
