The speculation is over. Yesterday, in an explosive interview with Fox News, Donald Trump crossed the final red line. He’s no longer talking about sanctions. He’s no longer talking about tariffs. He spoke explicitly of a ground military offensive on Mexican soil.
THE “GENOCIDE” NUMBERS (HIS JUSTIFICATION): Trump presented the American public with the data they will use to sell the invasion to Congress and NATO: 📉 97% of illegal drugs enter through the southern border. ⚰️ 300,000 DEATHS PER YEAR: Trump accused the cartels of murdering a quarter of a million people annually (between overdoses in the U.S. and violence in Mexico).
His conclusion was damning: 🗣️ “They control the country. They kill 300,000 people. We have to go in and clean it up. We’re going to attack by land if necessary.”
WHAT DOES “BY LAND” MEAN? It means OCCUPATION. These aren’t “surgical strikes” with drones from the air. We’re talking about columns of armored vehicles crossing Nuevo Laredo and Tijuana. We’re talking about Marines deployed in the Sierra Madre and US Army checkpoints on federal highways.
THE SENTENCE TO SOVEREIGNTY: By saying that “They (the cartels) control,” Trump officially disavowed the government of Claudia Sheinbaum. For Washington, Mexico is a lawless territory. And when a neighbor “kills 300,000 of yours,” the response isn’t diplomacy. It’s total war.
The Spear of the South is sharpened. What happened in Venezuela was aerial and swift. What’s happening in Mexico looks set to be ground-based, massive, and bloody.
Question for everyone: When you see a US Humvee patrolling your city… Will you feel invaded or liberated? Because Trump has already warned that they’re on their way.
