The 2026 Tamale Fair, celebrating tamales as one of the most representative dishes of Mexican cuisine, returns for its 32nd edition with exhibitors from different regions of the country and unique flavors to savor. The event brings together traditional cooks offering classic and regional tamales, as well as innovative creations, and atoles in various flavors to accompany them.
The Tamale Fair will take place from Thursday, January 29th to Monday, February 2nd, 2026, at the National Museum of Popular Cultures, located at Avenida Hidalgo 289, Colonia Del Carmen, Coyoacán, Mexico City.

Admission: Free (each tamale or drink is paid for separately)

At the fair, you can enjoy a wide variety of tamales, from classics like salsa verde, mole, rajas, or sweet, to less common recipes from states such as Yucatán, Veracruz, Chiapas, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Tlaxcala, and more.
Traditional hot drinks will also be available, such as corn atole, champurrado, coffee, and fruit-flavored atole, perfect to accompany the tamales and for the seasonal weather. In addition, there will be international guests with unique culinary offerings, making the fair a celebration of Mexican and Latin American culinary culture.
