Every January, Axochiapan hosts one of the largest and most significant patron saint celebrations in Morelos. Many of its residents who emigrated to the United States for work, mostly settled in Minneapolis, contribute significantly to this celebration, and many return to this town solely for the feast of Saint Paul the Apostle.
In recent years, this town has focused on strengthening its cultural identity and traditions to attract visitors and establish itself as a tourist destination based on history, faith, and community life, rather than on spectacle.
