Within the framework of the 2026 Year of Progress Agenda, Governor David Monreal Ávila confirmed Los Fabulosos Cadillacs as the first artist to perform at the 40th edition of the Zacatecas Cultural Festival, highlighting the progress of culture in the safest state in the country.
This event, which is consolidating its position as one of the most important in Mexico and with international reach, will feature the participation of the iconic Argentine band, whose 40th Anniversary Tour is taking them around the world. This tour coincides with the four decades of the Zacatecas Cultural Festival, making this edition a symbolic encounter between two icons of Ibero-American culture.
Governor David Monreal emphasized that, during the four editions of the Cultural Festival held under his administration, Zacatecas has been successfully positioned on the circuit of major cultural events, with world-class performances, a wide range of artistic diversity, and a significant influx of local, national, and international visitors.
“Previous editions have been extraordinary; we have brought high-quality culture to public squares, theaters, and emblematic spaces, strengthening the identity, community spirit, and economic development of Zacatecas,” stated Governor David Monreal.
For the 40th edition of the Zacatecas Cultural Festival 2026, the governor announced that there will be more than 400 cultural activities, including concerts, theater, dance, exhibitions, and artistic expressions for audiences of all ages, distributed throughout public squares, theaters, and emblematic spaces in the Historic Center of the capital.
And as he announced that there will be big surprises, Governor David Monreal revealed the performance of Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, who will also participate in the Vive Latino festival in Mexico City and the Pa’l Norte festival in Monterrey, as well as in Guadalajara, but with the difference that in Zacatecas, the concert will be free for locals and visitors.
The performance by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs will take place on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Plaza de Armas, and will be one of the main events of the Cultural Festival, which will run from March 28 to April 11, 2026.
