During the last days of January, the U.S. Department of Justice released more than three million pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, the millionaire who died in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
Amid the wide variety of names and locations appearing in the files, the mention of an address in the Jardines del Pedregal neighborhood of Mexico City raised suspicions about its possible connection to the magnate’s network. But what is known about it? MILENIO tells you.
While reviewing the documents that the Donald Trump administration released as part of the file on Jeffrey Epstein, MILENIO found an email exchange that alludes to a property in the Jardines del Pedregal neighborhood.
The subject line of that conversation was “Articles for Patricia,” and the first message included in the public records was sent by a woman identified as Gwen, who presented herself as being from the company Shore Support.
This company, located on the Caribbean island of Saint Martin, operates as a yacht agency specializing in docking services, fueling, and the provision of high-quality wine and food.
On the afternoon of May 30, 2016, Gwen emailed a woman named Myla Trestiza asking for help with a shipment.
“Hi, Myla. I have two addresses for Patricia, one in Mexico City and one in Los Angeles. Which one would you like me to send the items to?”
The address registered in the Mexican capital was a property on Avenida De las Fuentes in Jardines del Pedregal, while the other address was in the exclusive Beverly Hills area of California.
In response to the request for help, Myla Trestiza instructed her contact to send the items to the Los Angeles address. That same night, Gwen sent another message notifying them of a credit card decline, and the following day, an additional email from the same woman was registered: “One last question about this: could you tell me what’s in the white postal boxes?”
The documents released by the Department of Justice do not include any follow-up to this conversation, so it is unknown whether Myla Trestiza responded to the Shore Support employee’s question. Likewise, there is no further information about the identity of Patricia, in whose name the addresses were registered.
THE FACT
Suspicions surrounding the Jardines del Pedregal address
After the documents were released, a version circulated on social media that the same house mentioned in the Epstein case files was the location where Carlos Loreto, an executive at the record label Northern Organized Recordz, was murdered.
However, information confirmed by MILENIO corroborated that the property where the murder occurred is located on Cascada Street in Jardines del Pedregal.
Although the conversation in which the Jardines del Pedregal address was mentioned makes no reference to Jeffrey Epstein, Myla Trestiza’s name appears dozens of times in the files released by the U.S. government in the case of the deceased sex offender.
According to one of the documents, Trestiza grew up in Manila, Philippines, and moved to France to work in the nautical sector. After working for four years on private and charter yachts, she traveled to California to study nursing.
In May 2007, Myla Trestiza joined the crew of the Te Manu, a luxurious Italian-built yacht that, since September 2024, has been listed for sale for over 12.6 million euros.
A couple of additional documents, dated 2015, show the role that Myla Trestiza played as an intermediary between clients and the shipping agency for the shipment of dozens of bottles of high-end wines.
