Querétaro International Airport(AIQ) ranked fifth with the most cargo movement in the country during 2025 despite a 1.8 percent decrease in the number of tons transported.

According to data from the Civil Aviation Agency, the AIQ reported a total of 76,025 tons moved between January and December 2025, which is 1,365 tons less than what was transported between January and December 2024, when 77,390 tons of cargo were transported.

The airport accounted for 6.2 percent of all the cargo transferred in the country’s airports, only below the Felipe Ángeles Airport, which concentrated 32.9 percent of the cargo. In second place was the Mexico City International Airport with 20.5 percent of the cargo, the Guadalajara International Airport with 14.9 percent of the cargo, and the Monterrey International Airport with 6.2 percent.

While in the month of December, six thousand 260 tons were transferred from the AIQ, which was 5.2 percent less than in the annual comparison, since in December 2024 six thousand 605 tons were transported, which shows a difference of 345.3 tons.

In total, one million 232 thousand 808 tons were moved in the country, which represented a decrease of 2.4 percent annually compared to 2024. Although in the month of December, there was a growth of 6.6 percent in the transfer of goods.

Regarding domestic cargo, Querétaro International Airport ranked second in transfer with 54,611 tons between January and December 2025, which was 2 percent more than in the same period of 2024, when 53,564 tons were moved.

In this area, the AIQ was placed in second place only behind the Mexico City International Airport, which concentrated 16.2 percent of the total domestic cargo in the year, while in Querétaro, 14.3 percent of the total was moved.

Although in international cargo, Querétaro airport was not placed in the top five with the most cargo movement.
