Three weeks after the Mazatlán case, four tourists remain missing; Prosecutor’s Office intensifies investigations

The four tourists from the State of Mexico who were abducted on February 3rd while riding ATVs in the Sábalo Cerritos area of ​​Mazatlán remain missing, the Sinaloa State Attorney General’s Office reported, adding that the investigation is ongoing.

Attorney General Claudia Zulema Sánchez Kondo stated that there is constant communication with the families and that they have access to the case file, which remains open.

As part of the immediate context, the Attorney General’s Office reported that several interviews have been conducted and that, although some information has been obtained, there is still no concrete information that would allow them to locate the four men.

Sánchez Kondo detailed that two search warrants were also executed at properties related to the investigation and that the information gathered has been added to the case file.

Regarding the background of the incident, initial reports indicated that the group consisted of six tourists—including a woman and a nine-year-old girl—who were intercepted on the night of February 3rd. Later, both were located in the community of El Habal.

Authorities are continuing the search for the four men identified as Óscar García Hernández, Omar Alexis Ramírez Sabino, Javier Ramírez Sabino, and Gregorio Ramírez Sabino, who remain missing, according to media reports and case records.

The Prosecutor’s Office stated that the investigation is ongoing and that the case file is still being compiled, while family members continue to follow the official channels of the case.
