At least three vehicles were damaged by gunfire in the Allende neighborhood of San Miguel de Allende, after residents reported hearing shots in the area. The incident prompted a response from law enforcement agencies that lasted until the early hours of Monday.
Around midnight on Sunday, April 19, residents of Guadiana Street in the aforementioned neighborhood reported hearing gunshots that disturbed the peace of the area and that they did not know where they came from.
Officers from the Secretariat of Citizen Security arrived at the scene and found at least three vehicles with gunfire damage, one with a shattered windshield and others with bullet holes in the taillights and fenders.
The incident was reported to the State Attorney General’s Office, and the area was cordoned off and secured until their arrival to begin the corresponding investigation.
Municipal authorities reported that no one was injured in the incident and that the alleged perpetrators were traveling in a car and a truck, without specifying whether they exchanged gunfire or if anyone was arrested.
