President Claudia Sheinbaum declared this Friday that former President Felipe Calderón “allowed foreign agents to operate in ground operations,” referring to the “Fast and Furious” operation.
From the National Palace, Sheinbaum reiterated that her government is “very strict in defending sovereignty” and that this “is not negotiable.”
She also indicated that state governments must request authorization from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) and coordinate with the security cabinet for any collaboration with the United States or other countries.
Regarding the recent case of CIA agents in Chihuahua, she stated that Governor Maru Campos will provide information about what happened.
