An aircraft crashed this Tuesday in the southern part of Campeche state, prompting a response from security and emergency personnel in the municipality of Palizada.
The report came in shortly after noon, indicating that the small plane went down approximately 12 kilometers from the municipal seat, near the community of Santa Isabel. As of now, there is no confirmed information on injuries or fatalities, nor has it been established whether the incident is related to any criminal activity.
State and federal authorities arrived at the scene to cordon off the area and begin the corresponding investigations to determine the cause of the crash. Unofficially, another version suggests that the aircraft may have crashed four days prior, about six kilometers from the Chapel of Our Lady of Mount Carmel; however, this information has not been confirmed by official sources.
