The Traditional Cooks Pavilion at the 2026 Puebla Fair brings together more than 100 cooks from different regions of the state, who proudly share the richness and tradition of Puebla’s gastronomy. The State Government, led by Alejandro Armenta Mier, invites visitors to enjoy this space that preserves the flavors, knowledge, and cultural identity of Puebla.
With the participation of representatives from the Puebla Valley, the Izta-Popo region, the Mixteca region of Puebla, and the Sierra Norte, the pavilion is open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and offers a wide variety of emblematic dishes such as mole, pipián, chalupas, tamales, chicken in peanut sauce, mixiotes, cacao, chanclas, mango quesadillas, and refreshing drinks made with fruits typical of each region. This space promotes the state’s gastronomy and culture by preserving and sharing Puebla’s identity.

In this regard, the Secretary of Tourism Development, Carla López-Malo Villalón, emphasized that the state is recognized as “the kitchen of Mexico,” thanks to the richness, diversity, and authenticity of its recipes, passed down from generation to generation. She also reiterated the invitation to visit this pavilion, as well as the other attractions that are part of the 2026 Puebla Fair.
The State Government reaffirms its commitment to the preservation and promotion of culinary traditions, while fostering tourism and the economic development of local communities, in line with its vision to consolidate Puebla as a destination to be experienced, enjoyed, and shared.
