They were intercepted on their way to work; Their daughters report threats and demand federal support.
According to the family, the disappearance occurred between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. At the time of the incident, Francisco Rocha Suárez and Edith Ortega Bilbao were traveling on a red and black ATV.

In the letter, Dayana also reported that since her parents’ disappearance, the family has faced threats, extortion attempts, and falsification of information.
“We haven’t slept, we haven’t stopped searching for them everywhere, and on top of that, we have been victims of threats, extortion, and falsification. My parents are still missing,” she stated.
The sisters requested that the case not remain just an investigation file and asked for the intervention of state and federal authorities to strengthen the search efforts.
“We implore you not to be just another statistic or another case file; not to be left without answers. We ask that you use all the necessary institutional resources to help us find them,” they stated.
