The National Water Commission (Conagua) has issued an alert regarding the arrival of dust from the Sahara Desert to Mexico. Its effects are expected to be noticeable for several days, but how will it manifest, and which areas will be affected?

According to the authorities, these weather conditions are being monitored using NASA radar systems. Through social media, Conagua shared monitoring data showing a large mass of Sahara dust approaching Mexico, which is expected to remain over the country for the coming days.

According to official NASA data, a significant amount of Sahara dust is expected to reach the Yucatán Peninsula and the Gulf Coast states of Mexico.
