During the late morning of Wednesday, July 15, Caminos y Puentes Federales (Capufe) reported various traffic disruptions on several highway sections in Veracruz due to maintenance work and an accident response; the agency urged motorists to drive cautiously and obey traffic signs and instructions.
Reports included the Ciudad Mendoza-Córdoba highway, where maintenance is underway near kilometer 277 in the direction of Córdoba. Lane reductions and heavy traffic are reported at this location, so authorities recommend slowing down and allowing extra travel time.
On the same highway, near kilometer 286 in the direction of Ciudad Mendoza, maintenance work is also ongoing, resulting in lane reductions and heavy traffic.

In the southern part of the state, Capufe reported maintenance work on the La Tinaja-Isla highway between kilometers 4 and 5 (towards Isla), where lane reductions remain in place to facilitate the work.
Additionally, on the Nuevo Teapa-Cosoleacaque highway near kilometer 16, a contraflow lane has been implemented due to maintenance work on the Ingeniero Antonio Dovalí Jaime Bridge; drivers are asked to exercise extreme caution when passing through this area.
In central Veracruz, work is also continuing on the Córdoba-Veracruz highway between kilometers 48 and 55, where traffic is operating in a contraflow pattern and heavy traffic is reported. Authorities urged road users to heed warning signs and follow the instructions of traffic management personnel. In addition to these disruptions, there is a partial lane closure on the Acatzingo-Ciudad Mendoza highway—specifically at kilometer marker 231 in the direction of Acatzingo—due to the response to an accident involving a trailer that detached from a semi-truck. Lane reductions remain in effect at this location, resulting in heavy traffic congestion.
This information was released by Caminos y Puentes Federales (Capufe) via its official digital platforms late Wednesday morning, July 15, to alert federal highway users and prevent further incidents.
Finally, Capufe urged motorists to stay tuned for updates issued through both its official channels and those of the National Guard’s Highway Division, where timely information regarding any incidents or changes in traffic conditions will be provided. At the same time, the agency reiterated the call to drive responsibly, observe speed limits, and heed all road signs and signals at all times.
