This summer 2026, the aromas and flavors of fine wines and regional cuisine in Coahuila will come together with live music, art, culture, and a vibrant atmosphere during the state’s traditional wine harvest festivals (vendimias), which promise memorable experiences for tourists and visitors.
Throughout July, August, and September, wineries in the municipalities of Parras de la Fuente, General Cepeda, and Cuatro Ciénegas will host their annual harvest celebrations. Organizers estimate an attendance of 28,000 visitors and an economic impact of approximately 50 million pesos.
Activities
A few days ago, the Pueblo Mágico of Parras de la Fuente successfully hosted La Gran Vendimia – International Wine and Good Life Festival, organized by 830 Grandes Eventos, officially marking the beginning of the 2026 harvest festival season.
The scheduled harvest celebrations are:
- Bodega Los Pirules (Cuatro Ciénegas) – July 25
- Los Durmientes (Parras de la Fuente) – August 1
- Las Pudencianas and Segovia Fuantos (Parras de la Fuente) – August 8 (Open to the public)
- Casa Madero (Parras de la Fuente) – August 9 and 10 (Open to the public)
- Marqués de Aguayo (Parras de la Fuente) – August 15
- Sotelo (Parras de la Fuente) – August 29
- Don Leo (Parras de la Fuente) – September 5
- Sierto Winery (General Cepeda) – September 12
- Hacienda Florida – A special wine celebration during September
The harvest festivals feature the participating wineries’ finest wines, wine tastings and food pairings, regional cuisine, live music, art exhibitions, cultural activities, the traditional grape stomping ceremony, artistic performances, and many other attractions.
Coahuila Continues to Strengthen Its Wine Tourism
“These festivals are an excellent opportunity for tourists and visitors to enjoy the quality of Coahuila’s wines, its gastronomy, and the magnificent vineyard landscapes,” said Cristina Amezcua, Secretary of Tourism and Development of Pueblos Mágicos.
She added that the vacation season is an ideal time to tour vineyards, share a toast with friends, enjoy regional cuisine, listen to live music, learn about local culture, and experience the hospitality that distinguishes the people of Coahuila.
“Today, Coahuila has established itself as one of Mexico’s leading wine destinations. Our wines are recognized nationally and internationally, and behind every label there is history, tradition, innovation, and the passionate work of producers who have proudly elevated the name of our state,” she emphasized.
