Neither the distance, the exhaustion, nor the intense heat prevented nearly one thousand pilgrims from across the state of Aguascalientes from arriving at the Cathedral Basilica to honor the Virgin Mary.
The first groups to participate in the religious celebration came from the parishes of San José in Cosío, Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in Pabellón de Arteaga, and Señor de las Angustias in Rincón de Romos.
A particularly notable tradition came from Rincón de Romos, where approximately 300 cyclists made the pilgrimage by bicycle from their hometown to the Cathedral Basilica.
Later in the day, pilgrims from Tepezalá and San José de Gracia also arrived, representing the communities of Nuestra Señora del Refugio, San Jacinto, San Blas, and San José.
To conclude the fourth day of the pilgrimage, members of the churches of San Leonardo Murialdo, San Vicente de Paul, Divino Niño, Nuestra Señora de la Paz, and María Madre de Misericordia presented their offerings at the foot of the altar.
Nearly 1,000 pilgrims from Cosío, Pabellón de Arteaga, Rincón de Romos, Tepezalá, and San José de Gracia gathered at the Cathedral Basilica to give thanks for their work, pray for the health of their families, and honor Our Lady of the Assumption during the 2026 Quincenario de la Asunción.
With deep devotion, they expressed gratitude to God for His provision and for the opportunity to work, while also praying for the well-being of their loved ones.
Before returning home, the pilgrims received a blessing from the altar and were encouraged to continue serving as examples of faith and hope within their communities.
