Sinaloa expects to move around 1.2 million tons of sorghum during the upcoming agricultural cycle, with China as a new market.
📦 This Saturday, the first two containers of sorghum bound for China are expected to be shipped from Topolobampo.
🤝 Teodoro López Menchaca, president of the AARSP, will participate in a meeting with the Secretariat of Agriculture to define the logistics and commercialization of the grain.
🗣️ “I don’t think there had previously been a request from China to purchase this sorghum from Sinaloa,” he said.
💧 The agricultural leader highlighted that sorghum has lower production costs and requires less water than corn, opening up a new alternative for Sinaloan producers.
