Representatives from the neighboring state traveled to Jalisco to invite residents to the National Fair of Zacatecas, while affirming that security is guaranteed in Zacatecas.
The festival will take place from September 4 to 20, and the Antonio Aguilar Charro Arena will host representatives of Mexican regional music, with performances by Julión Álvarez y su Norteño Banda, Remmy Valenzuela, and Edén Muñoz on September 4, 6, and 12, respectively.
According to Le Roy Barragán Ocampo, Secretary of Tourism of Zacatecas, this year’s fair will be unforgettable, as the state located north of Jalisco is also celebrating 480 years of history.

He emphasized that the event, known as “the fair for everyone,” brings together thousands of people from Jalisco to enjoy the festivities and concerts, and this year will be no exception.
He also recalled that Zacatecas is a state rich in gastronomy and culture, something that attracts visitors, who take advantage of the fair to explore the state, particularly the capital city of Zacatecas.
In this regard, Michelle Fridman Hirsch, Secretary of Tourism of Jalisco, said that Zacatecas “is not only a destination with which we share a great deal of culture; we share gastronomy, tourism offerings, and we are becoming increasingly connected. We are not only closer by land, but there has also recently been an increase in flights, making it easier to reach Zacatecas.”
She also invited people from Zacatecas to visit Jalisco, a state they generally travel to for shopping, but also because Guadalajara hosts major sporting and musical events.
