With the aim of generating new business opportunities and strengthening the presence of Guanajuato companies in international markets, a Business Meeting was held as part of the launch of Marca Guanajuato Internacional, an initiative jointly promoted by the Secretariat of Economy and COFOCE.

The meeting brought together 40 international buyers from the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, El Salvador, and Colombia, who had the opportunity to learn firsthand about Guanajuato’s export offerings and establish business connections with companies from the state.

As a result of the event, more than 700 business meetings and international industrial connections were established, with the participation of more than 200 Guanajuato companies, creating an important space for networking between buyers and suppliers from various productive sectors.

From Connections to Opportunities

One of the main results of the meeting was that the networking did not end at the negotiation tables.

Following the meetings, work agendas and visits by international buyers were organized over the following days directly at the facilities of Guanajuato companies that had shown interest in their products and capabilities.

These visits allowed buyers to learn firsthand about the companies’ production processes, infrastructure, capabilities, and standards, strengthening confidence and creating the conditions to move toward future negotiations and business relationships.

In this way, the meeting made it possible to move from an initial connection to a deeper commercial engagement process, with opportunities that could translate into new business and greater integration of Guanajuato companies into global value chains.

Marca Guanajuato Goes Global

The Business Meeting was part of the launch of Marca Guanajuato Internacional, an initiative that represents the evolution of Marca Guanajuato and seeks to showcase to the world the talent, quality, innovation, and products that distinguish companies from the state.

Through this initiative, companies with export capabilities and an established presence in international markets are recognized, strengthening Guanajuato’s identity as a competitive and reliable state for doing business.

These results align with the vision of Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, who has established strengthening micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MiPyMEs) as a priority so they can grow, generate jobs, and access new opportunities.

Through the Government of the People, the Secretariat of Economy and COFOCE are working to provide Guanajuato companies with tools, support, and connections that allow them to increase their competitiveness and participate more actively in domestic and international markets.

The meeting demonstrates that when companies have appropriate networking spaces, opportunities can become concrete business relationships.

Guanajuato continues to strengthen its connections with the world and create conditions for more companies, especially MiPyMEs, to grow and bring their products to new markets.
