The Government of Zacatecas, led by State Governor David Monreal Ávila, is advancing infrastructure projects that promote physical activity, safe mobility, and family well-being through the construction of the Plateros–Las Mercedes bicycle path in the municipality of Fresnillo.
As part of the “Agenda for Progress,” the project spans 7.94 kilometers and involves earthworks, drainage systems, paving, and signage along the entire route. The goal is to provide a high-quality, functional space for cyclists, pedestrians, and families seeking safe options for mobility and recreation.
This project is part of the current administration’s commitment to strengthening spaces for sports and social interaction by promoting healthy habits and community integration. The bicycle path will offer a modern, sustainable option for both commuting and leisure.
Through these initiatives, the Government of Zacatecas reaffirms its commitment to developing an infrastructure network that not only improves mobility but also fosters sports, social interaction, and a better quality of life for families.
