With the traditional coronation of Ángela I, the major festivities of Múzquiz officially began with the inauguration of the 2026 Santa Rosa de Lima Fair, one of the most important celebrations in the Pueblo Mágico.
The event was led by Mayor Laura Jiménez Gutiérrez, who was accompanied by Cristina Amezcua González, Secretary of Tourism and Magical Towns of Coahuila, who attended on behalf of the Governor of the State, Manolo Jiménez Salinas.
During the ceremony, both authorities, accompanied by special guests, carried out the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, officially marking the beginning of the festivities.
In her message, Mayor Laura Jiménez Gutiérrez welcomed the families of Múzquiz and visitors and invited them to enjoy the different activities that will take place during the fair, including cultural, gastronomic, and artisan events, as well as a varied musical lineup.
She emphasized that these festivities represent an opportunity to preserve and promote the traditions, customs, and cultural richness that distinguish Múzquiz as a Pueblo Mágico, while also creating spaces for families and visitors to come together.
Also present at the opening ceremony were local deputy-elect Héctor Miguel García Falcón, municipal councilors and officials, as well as representatives of the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) and distinguished guests.
The important support provided by the official sponsors of the 2026 Santa Rosa de Lima Fair was also recognized and appreciated. They joined efforts to make this major celebration possible: Kickapoo Tribe of Texas, Súper Gutiérrez, and Abarrotes La Oferta de Múzquiz, highlighting their commitment and support for the traditions and activities that strengthen the identity of the community.
With the coronation of Ángela I and the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the 2026 Santa Rosa de Lima Fair was formally inaugurated, giving way to an extensive artistic lineup that over the coming days will offer live music, shows, and activities for all tastes.
