Yucatán continues strengthening the promotion of its tourism offering by presenting the state’s cultural, archaeological, natural and gastronomic attractions to potential visitors and tourism-sector professionals.
The promotional strategy seeks to position Yucatán as a destination with a wide variety of experiences, going beyond its best-known archaeological sites and highlighting the diversity of activities available throughout the state.
Among the attractions promoted are Chichén Itzá, Uxmal, the Maya Train and the state’s seven Magical Towns.
The promotion also included experiences related to ecotourism, community tourism and nature, highlighting the state’s natural resources and the opportunities they offer visitors interested in sustainable tourism.
Yucatán’s tourism offering also includes its cenotes, beaches, archaeological zones, gastronomy, cultural heritage and Maya traditions, allowing visitors to combine historical, cultural and nature-based experiences during their stay.
The state’s tourism authorities and representatives from the tourism sector have continued participating in promotional activities aimed at expanding the destination’s presence in important national and international markets.
The Maya Train has also become an important element in the promotion of the region, allowing visitors to connect different destinations in southeastern Mexico and facilitating access to archaeological, cultural and natural attractions.
Yucatán’s tourism strategy seeks to attract visitors interested in different types of travel, including cultural tourism, nature tourism, ecotourism, gastronomy and community-based experiences.
The state has also emphasized destinations such as Mérida, Valladolid, Izamal and Uxmal, which complement the attraction generated by Chichén Itzá and contribute to distributing tourism activity throughout the state.
The promotion of Yucatán’s tourism destinations is intended to generate greater visitor numbers, increase hotel occupancy and strengthen the economic benefits generated by tourism for local communities and businesses.
Yucatán’s official tourism platform likewise promotes destinations and experiences throughout the state, including cenotes, the coast, Maya archaeological sites, Magical Towns and nature-based activities.
The state’s tourism offering therefore combines its Maya heritage, historical architecture, gastronomy, natural landscapes and coastal destinations, creating a broad range of experiences for domestic and international visitors.
