Mexicali.- Representatives of Taiwanese electronics companies learned about the advantages that Baja California offers to establish themselves and produce components for zero-emission vehicles in Mexico.

Investors verified that Baja California is the state of the Mexican Republic closest to Asia, which places it in a privileged position for collaboration and commercial exchange.

They also analyzed that regionally, together with the North American states of California and Arizona, they have great logistical and commercial advantages for the relocation of supply chains.

Taiwan is a world leader in high-tech industries, particularly semiconductors, electronics and information technology, which is aligned with the growing demand for advanced technologies in North America.

Rodolfo Andrade Pelayo, Undersecretary of Investment Management, explained to Asian businessmen the manufacturing base of Baja California, its qualified workforce and the geographical proximity to the United States and Canada, which facilitates access to that large market for companies seeking to diversify. their supply chains.

The meeting is part of a work agenda that began in Mexico City at the beginning of May, organized by the Ministry of Economy (SE) and the Business Coordinating Council (CCE).

As a result of the efforts of the US-Mexico CEO Dialogue investment group, which is the high-level summit between leaders and entrepreneurs from Mexico and the United States to strengthen North American supply chains.

The Taiwanese delegation was led by Richard Lee, president of the Taiwan Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (TEEMA), a body that represents 60 percent of Taiwan’s information and communications technology industry and has developed a close relationship with the SE and the CCE to promote the attraction of investments from Taiwan to Mexico.
