AMLO Despises Campeche Again:

298

In a disappointing turn of events, Campeche has been left out of the housing plans projected by Infonavit during Claudia Sheinbaum’s upcoming government. Despite the close relationship the governor boasts with AMLO and the virtual president-elect, Campeche will not see a single one of the 500,000 homes to be built in 10 regions across the country: Ecatepec; Iztapalapa; Tijuana; Mexicali; Zapopan; Guadalajara; León; Guanajuato; Mazatlán; Cajeme; Veracruz; Tapachula; Mérida, among other cities.

During a morning press conference at the National Palace, Carlos Martínez, the head of Infonavit, announced an ambitious housing construction plan with a budget of 250 billion pesos, expected to create approximately one million jobs annually. However, Campeche was not mentioned among the benefiting regions, leaving the community feeling abandoned and disillusioned.

The Deputy Secretary of Urban Development, Edna Vega, emphasized that the plan would generate employment and provide housing access for different population groups in regions where crucial projects have been developed under the current administration.

In the southeastern region of Mexico, 32,000 houses are projected near the Tren Maya, but they will be distributed between Mérida and Cancún. This blatant lack of interest in promoting Campeche’s development is evident. It also highlights that Governor Layda Sansores has failed to secure a place for our state in this critical project, despite her claims of friendship with the virtual president-elect.

This neglect is unacceptable. Campeche has the potential to grow and thrive, but the governor’s unwillingness to advocate for her community’s interests is a harsh blow to those who hoped for a more promising future.
