According to information released this Tuesday by the State Government and contained in the Second Government Report of Salomón Jara, more than a dozen properties that were in the possession of different political organizations have been recovered; the offices occupied by the National Peasant Confederation (CNC) stand out, and are destined to be occupied by the Central Archive of the Civil Registry.

The building was handed over 29 years ago by the then Governor of the State, Diódoro Carrasco Altamirano to Beatriz Paredes Rangel, who at that time served as National Leader of the CNC.

On June 28, the Legal Counsel and Legal Assistance recovered a property located at 107 Leandro Valle Street in the Historic Center of the municipality of Oaxaca de Juárez.

Days earlier, on June 12, the Álvaro Carrillo Cultural Center was searched and recovered. It was in the hands of the private company ICA, which charged 360 million pesos to the administration of former Governor Alejandro Murat to carry out the work, but it was left unfinished due to the alleged debt to said construction company that neither finished the work nor delivered it.

In June 2023, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Oaxaca (MACO) legally returned to the state government after having been closed for several months due to the labor conflict between the Civil Association Friends of the Museum and the workers.

The legal representative of Friends of the Museum, Rubén Leyva, was notified that the loan they had in their favor in the administration of the Museum and by which they had possession of the property and everything that the MACO entails was rescinded. The Museum was placed under the protection of the Secretariat of Cultures and Arts of Oaxaca.

The most recent property is located on Símbolos Patrios Avenue, on the corner of Pinos Street, in San Antonio de la Cal. The building was given on loan during the previous administration to the Civil Association “Los Hijos de las Hadas”, with the objective of providing care to children with autism.

However, during a review of the real estate assets of the State Government, a document was found in the Patrimony Department of the Administration Secretariat, in which the director of the aforementioned Association had notified the return of the property due to damage caused by earthquakes.

The government bulletin indicated that “in addition, the cartel of dispossession is being fought, for which audits have been carried out at the Civil Registry and at the institutes of the Registry and Cadastral Function of Oaxaca that have allowed innumerable unjustified actions to be found.”

In the fight against corruption, in the last 24 months audits were carried out in 20 dependencies of the previous administration with more than 23 billion pesos audited.

In public investment, more than 2.5 billion pesos were validated and 565 Social Control Committees were accredited, with which 1,969 works and 672 social programs were inspected.

In follow-up to the presentation of complaints for serious violations in the area of corruption and public servants investigated for abuse and misappropriation of resources, 151 sanctions were carried out.
