Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, Secretary of Tourism of Tamaulipas, reported that as part of its support for municipalities in terms of tourism infrastructure and to prepare for Holy Week 2025, the state government allocated an investment of 13.8 million pesos for infrastructure restoration.
These investments, he stated, foster better service for tourists and visitors and contribute to enhancing the tourist experience, especially during the Holy Week and summer vacation periods.
“I have no doubt that together, society and government, we can build an even more flourishing and prosperous future for tourism in Tamaulipas,” he stated.
What work is being done continuously to keep the beaches in good condition?
The state representative added that his ministry not only carries out constant cleaning measures on Tamaulipas’ beaches, but also certifies lifeguards and provides resources to keep the recreational areas looking pleasant.
He explained that it is a team effort, as Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya points out, given that a collaborative and participatory partnership is necessary to continue strengthening change.
What have you done to improve the quality of tourism services in Tamaulipas?
Benjamín Hernández added that, with the goal of improving the quality of tourism services, 3,160 people have currently received free training, prioritizing tourism service providers, artisans, tour guides, and municipal authorities, among others.
It is worth mentioning that this year, more than 2.3 million visitors are expected to visit the various tourist destinations in Tamaulipas.
