Residents of the northern part of San Cristóbal reported that a pit bull is loose on the street, and is in danger of attacking pedestrians. They are urging the intervention of the Municipal Canine Control Center (Cecam) to search for it, as the dog is loose and could attack any person or animal. According to residents, it is an aggressive dog. To this day, the owner is unknown.
Regarding this, residents of the Molino de los Arcos irregular neighborhood, located in the southern part of the city of San Cristóbal, reported that a pit bull attacked another stray dog. Minutes later, it left the dog dead, while those who witnessed the dog’s attack were unable to save the other dog and simply locked themselves inside their homes. However, the animal remains on the streets of the neighborhood. They don’t know who the owner is, but they are already investigating to ensure that whoever turns out to be the owner of this animal is punished or, if necessary, euthanized, as it poses a danger to the residents of the neighborhood.
According to the images, the pit bull attacked the dog that was on the street, causing several injuries to its neck. Minutes later, it left the dog dead, leading the residents themselves to say that this animal is a danger to the street. The owner has not come forward because he fears he could be arrested, beaten, or lynched for allowing his dog to be on the street. Therefore, it is urgent that the Cecam (National Police) go out into the streets to search for the animal and lock it up.
Meanwhile, the more than 100 residents of the Molino de los Arcos neighborhood are urging everyone to take every precaution when walking on the streets, because during this hot season, many stray dogs are contracting rabies, which is dangerous for the residents of the neighborhood. They point out that local authorities need to intervene immediately.
