The Ministry of Tourism, in coordination with the airline TAR Mexico, announced the opening of new air routes connecting the state capital with Torreón, Coahuila, and Mazatlán, Sinaloa, and Ciudad Juárez with La Paz, Baja California Sur.
They also announced increased frequencies on existing routes to Los Mochis, Querétaro, and Hermosillo.
The Secretary of Tourism, Edibray Gómez, emphasized the administration’s commitment to promoting regional mobility and economic development in Chihuahua, as well as the importance of fostering family gatherings and business activity.
He added that Chihuahua is consolidating its position as a key destination in northern Mexico, thanks to a coordinated effort between the State Government and TAR Mexico to improve connectivity, facilitate visitor mobility, boost the local economy, and strengthen tourism in the region.
The new routes and frequencies are now available for purchase and will begin operating on December 1st, directly benefiting the business sector and boosting tourism in Chihuahua.
Also participating in the press conference held to make this announcement were Ángel García Colín, Commercial and Operations Director of TAR Mexico, and Germán Orrantia Calderón, Director of Tourism Promotion for the Ministry of Tourism.
New routes:
- Chihuahua-Torreón: Direct service, Thursdays and Sundays
- Chihuahua-Mazatlán: Connecting via Torreón (TRC), Thursdays and Sundays
- Ciudad Juárez-La Paz: Connecting via Hermosillo (HMO), Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
Increased frequencies:
- Chihuahua-Los Mochis: From 12 to 14
- Juárez-Hermosillo and Juárez-Torreón: From 8 to 10
- Chihuahua-Querétaro: From 6 to 8
