The State Tourism Secretariat will promote Morelos as an inclusive destination by hosting the Morelos Pride Festival 2026, a national event that will bring together members of the LGBTQ+ community, collectives, and visitors from across the country.

During a meeting with Tania Nava, president of the Acciona Morelos Diversity Committee, Tourism Secretary Daniel Altafi Valladares received a formal invitation to participate in the festival’s activities. The Pride parade will take place on July 25th as part of an agenda that promotes inclusion, respect for human rights, and the strengthening of tourism in the state.

Representing Governor Margarita González Saravia, Daniel Altafi Valladares reiterated that the State Government is promoting a public policy to ensure that tourism is an opportunity for everyone, both for those who visit Morelos and for those who live there.

“We are working to ensure that tourism in Morelos is for everyone. Celebrations like the Pride Festival strengthen shared prosperity and allow more people to discover our experiences, gastronomy, and the wonders that the state offers,” she stated.

She also recognized Tania Nava’s work as one of the main drivers of this movement in Morelos and highlighted that the LGBTQ+ community represents a tourist segment that values experiences, cultural offerings, and gastronomy, contributing to the strengthening of the local economy and the development of communities.

For her part, Tania Nava noted that the Morelos Pride Festival 2026 will allow the state to gain national exposure and will generate significant attendance during the scheduled activities.

With these actions, the Ministry of Tourism reaffirms its commitment to promoting inclusive, accessible, and respectful tourism that embraces diversity.
