The Institute for Legal Property Security of Yucatán (INSEJUPY) has launched the Fifth Real Estate Brokerage Training Program, a key opportunity for real estate advisors to obtain a Type A Real Estate License. This training will take place on August 10, 11, and 12, 2026, at the Eduardo Urzaiz Rodríguez Auditorium, located on the UADY Social Sciences Campus. The course includes two hours of virtual instruction and eight hours of in-person training, with limited enrollment.
The initiative responds to the recent amendment to the law establishing INSEJUPY, enacted through Decree 73/2025, which introduces new requirements for individuals engaged in real estate brokerage in the state. The objective is to enhance the professionalism of the sector and provide greater legal certainty in real estate sales and leasing transactions.

Since the implementation of Decree 73/2025, real estate advisors in Yucatán must meet several requirements to practice legally. Licensing is now mandatory and is divided into three categories:

In all cases, the application process must be completed electronically through the INSEJUPY platform using an advanced electronic signature.
Professional Training and Certification Process
To obtain a Type A Real Estate License, applicants must complete 50 hours of initial training or, in the case of license renewal, 30 hours of continuing education annually. The courses cover topics such as legal regulations, property valuation, financing, urban development, professional ethics, and applied technologies. All training programs must either be certified by the Institute or officially recognized through a public call.
The Fifth Real Estate Brokerage Training Program provides an opportunity to meet this requirement. The curriculum combines virtual and in-person sessions, allowing participants to update their knowledge in accordance with the new regulations.
State Registry and Electronic Procedures
In addition to completing the required training, real estate advisors must register in the State Registry, a mandatory requirement for practicing in Yucatán. This registry is public and updated continuously. All related procedures, including license applications and information updates, are carried out exclusively online through the INSEJUPY platform.
During the licensing process, applicants must appear in person for biometric identification and document verification. In addition, all documentation related to real estate transactions must be retained for at least five years, in accordance with current regulations.
The law also requires that the license number be included in all advertising, contracts, and promotional materials. Advisors may only market properties with the written authorization of the owner, and all services must be invoiced through CFDI electronic tax receipts.
INSEJUPY has the authority to conduct inspections to verify compliance with these obligations, and any individual may file complaints regarding irregular real estate services.
