Various gastronomic festivals will be held in the southeastern region of the state during the month of August: the Corn Festival, the El Tunal Discada Festival; the Tamale and Pulque Fair, and the Lechón Fest, as part of Ramos Fest 2026.
This Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, the Corn Festival will take place in the community of Los Lirios in Arteaga, where there will be corn bread tastings, a main-stage theater, a tambora street procession, a car exhibition, the sale of regional products, and dancing at night.
The El Tunal Discada Festival, also in Arteaga, will take place on Saturday, August 15, in the main square of the El Tunal ejido, featuring performances by musical groups, a competition for the best discada, salsa and apple dessert, the sale of typical products such as preserves and sweets, and many more surprises.
With a 100% family-friendly atmosphere, attendance of more than two thousand people is expected, along with an economic impact of between 1.5 and 1.8 million pesos.
From August 28 to 30, Ramos Fest 2026 will take place, offering tourists and visitors the traditional Tamale and Pulque Bread Fair, as well as the successful Lechón Fest in its second edition.
There will also be an exhibition featuring Women Entrepreneurs, a street procession, musical concerts, the crowning of the Queen, and the Horseback Riding Parade; 150,000 attendees are expected throughout the festival, along with a significant economic impact in Ramos Arizpe.
Coahuila has a plan, stated the Secretary of Tourism and Development of Magical Towns, Cristina Amezcua González, who highlighted the dynamism of tourism events in Coahuila during this summer vacation.
“With these gastronomic festivals, tourists and visitors will be able to enjoy the aromas and flavors of our traditional dishes, as well as other experiences that will be offered for the entire family,” she said.
For Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas, promoting tourism as an industry that generates economic activity, jobs, and investment is essential. He also emphasized the importance of events that attract tourists and visitors and complement the state’s tourism offerings.
“We look forward to seeing you at these festivals so that you can continue enjoying your vacation and pleasant experiences,” Cristina Amezcua concluded.
