Aguascalientes continues to rank among the states standing out for attracting new business projects after four investment announcements totaling more than $140 million dollars were finalized during June and July 2026, according to an analysis by specialized magazine Mexico Industry based on information from the Secretariat of Economy.
The announced projects are expected to generate approximately 1,000 jobs and cover strategic activities for the state’s economy, particularly in the energy, automotive, and manufacturing sectors.
Among the investments is Esentia, a company specializing in natural gas infrastructure, which plans to build the Aguascalientes Compression Station, infrastructure intended to increase its gas transportation and commercialization capacity in the country’s Central-Western region.
Also included is the expansion of Aguascalientes-based company LORESA, which plans to build a new plant to increase its production capacity for trailers, semi-trailers, platforms, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and specialized freight transportation units.
These projects are joined by Huatai Mould, which announced the installation of a production plant in Aguascalientes aimed at strengthening the automotive industry’s supply chain.
Meanwhile, executives from Magna International, one of the world’s major automotive suppliers, expressed their intention to establish operations in the state.
The arrival and expansion of companies is taking place at a time when Aguascalientes is seeking to diversify its industrial activity while taking advantage of the automotive supply chain that has developed over decades around major automakers and their suppliers.
According to the information released, factors such as geographic location, industrial infrastructure, availability of specialized personnel, and connectivity have been among the conditions considered for the development of these projects.
The June and July announcements add to other investment projects recently announced in the state and strengthen Aguascalientes’ efforts to remain one of the main industrial hubs in central Mexico, attracting both domestic and foreign capital and generating new jobs.
