Cyclist from Tamaulipas to represent Mexico at the 2026 Road World Championships.

Cyclist Atzi Paola Reyes Rodríguez, from Tamaulipas, has been selected for the Mexican National Cycling Team to represent the country at the 2026 UCI Road World Championships in Montreal, Canada.

Manuel Virués Lozano, the Director of Sports for Tamaulipas, announced that the competition is scheduled for September 20–27 and will feature top international cyclists.

“We are very pleased with Atzi Reyes’s progress; she heads into this world championship as one of the country’s standout cyclists, thanks to the results she has achieved and the hard work she has put in over the last few months.”

The Tamaulipas native is part of the Mexican delegation attending this major international event, where she aims to deliver her best performance in the road race.

For her participation in the world championships, Atzi Paola has the backing and support of the Government of Tamaulipas, through the Tamaulipas Institute of Sport (INDE).

With this selection, the cyclist adds a new chapter to her athletic career and gains the opportunity to compete on one of the world’s premier cycling stages.
