International Children’s and Young Adult Book Fair

If you have children and want to take them to a place of learning, imagination, and fun, the International Children’s and Young Adult Book Fair (FILIJ) is the best option. The event takes place in the First Section of Chapultepec Park; it’s free and runs until November 17th, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Juan Gabriel Concert Screening

This Saturday, November 8th, at 8:00 PM in Mexico City’s Zócalo, the first concert by Juan Gabriel, performed at the Palace of Fine Arts in 1990, will be screened. Organizers assure that images from Juan Gabriel’s personal archive will be shown. Don’t miss this free event.

Eurojazz Festival in Mexico City

Eurojazz, a free event held annually and already famous among music lovers, will begin this Sunday, November 9th, and conclude on the 23rd of the same month. This event will take place at the National Center for the Arts (CENART), from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

If you’ve never been to Eurojazz, it’s worth noting that if you do attend, you’ll be treated to performances by great European and Mexican jazz bands, outdoors and in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Ballet of La Llorona

Although not a free event, it’s well worth seeing. If you enjoy ballet and music, the performance of “The Legend of La Llorona” will be presented at the University Cultural Center this Sunday, November 9th, at 6:00 PM. The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Arts will provide the musical accompaniment for all attendees. Tickets cost between 400 and 450 pesos.
